Anyone using the gopro hero 3 black

My brother got me a gopro hero 3 silver edition for christmas. The sound and video quality is unreal for such a small device. The black edition is a step above in video.

Just be aware the is a little chip card(like the one that goes in a cell phone)that you have to buy seprate in order for the camera to work.Make sure you buy the correct card(a little detail they forget to tell you before you buy :o| )

Thanks, bought the gopro 3 black. Hopeing to get some time trials video up at the Soo I-500. Does yours eat up the batteries
Haven,t got much time on it yet.The picture quality/sound will blow you mind.Well worth the price.

I got GoPro Hero 2 new great video haven't edited yet but will work for about an hour on helmet in the cold with wind chill was a very very cold day when I used it. Cold kills the battery for sure.

I have the original HD Hero cam and love it! I used it a lot this year out in West Yellowstone, MT. At temps in the teens and recording 720p at 60fps, I was able to record at least 1.5 hours on a single charge. I didn't run the battery all the way down though, so I imagine you can probably get around 2 hours of footage.

the hero 3 runs out of batter a little faster so I bought the battery backpack and is great now. I recomend getting atleast 32 gb if you plan on using 1080p 60 fps cause it doesnt take long to fill the 16gb I have.

I got the battery back pack and a 64 gb card they were on sale at Best Buy, $100.00 on sale for $59.00 64gb . so i should be good then, see what kind of video we can make lol

Just replayed the video i recorded today doing 80-90mph passes on the inlet here riding my RXwarrior.Video quality was great but what really surprised me was the sound quality. It reduced most of the wind noise(even what you hear while riding)and enhanced the best sounds like the engine.Just remember to avoid bringing the camera from a very cold place to a very warm place to reduce moisture build-up inside(slow warm-up is best).
