2004 yamaha rx1 2015 yamaha apex xtx
Can I swap front shocks between my 2015 apex xtx and my 2004 rx1 shorty. More specific, team fast assualt air shocks from the 2004 onto my apex. If not will it work with apex specific bushings and bolts or is there just no way period?

Ask Viper Dave. I think he has my 05 warrior Elka's on his apex xtx

Elkas have more dropout than my GYTR shocks. Very slight binding on my Apex XTX when they fully extend. Run them and see if they work. I'm happy with mine! Apex shocks are 16.5 and RX shocks are 17.5.

Thanks viper dave, exactly what i wanted to know before tearing apart a brand new sled. I will check full range of motion without air in them to check for binding.

The 04 RX shock is I believe 1/2 or 3/4 inch longer. You can swap them out but your Apex would have a higher centre of gravity, sit higher, and be more tippy in the corners. Reversed, the RX would sit lower.
