Hey there!
Today my 12 volt stopped working and ive checked the fuse and the wiring the best I could and have found nothing wrong. Are there any common issues with these that you guys know of?
Ground perhaps? If so where would that be located?
Thanks

12v as in cigarette lighter plug?
According to the schematic, there is nothing shared on the wire that feeds the 12v auxiliary jack. You can look for each wire feeding into it and measure for 12v and ground (continuity). Disconnect the jack while you are there and make sure the connectors are not corroded.

Thanks for the reply
I measured it and get about 200 mV. Any clue where the ground may be located? I’ve tried to trace it but since it’s wrapped up in a big wiring harness that branches off I haven’t been very successful. The connectors look good, no corrosion.

But if you put the one end of the meter directly to the frame do you get 12v at the input to the socket (or connector)? If so, the ground is bad. If not, something else is wrong.. (no idea).
I have no idea where the ground points are, they are typically bundled into a larger connector. Basically the same style of connector that you see for the auxiliary 12v, but it has more positions. There is a metal plate that ties them all together, and the whole thing is buried in the wiring looms. You would have to follow the loom and look for a big lump and under the tape you will find the ground bundle. I think someone posted where to find them in the forum. It might be easier to jump that wire out for now, go directly to a frame ground and then fix it correctly in the off season.
