apex hand guard

i was told that the 06' rtx's came stock w/ hand guards. is this true as mine doesnt have any. also has anyone have these or will they work? thanks.

The 06's did NOT come with the hand gaurds. The ones you have in the link will work with a little coaxing. You'll have to bend the mounts as the stock 06' bars begin to turn down toward the gooseneck right after the controls. You can mount them a couple of different ways and others may have ideas, I know some mount them inside the controls. Other options are to get the 06' specific Rox mounts look them up and you'll see what I'm talking about. I made my own mouns so, as far as what I use, it would be of no help.

well i saw they were inexpensive so i thought i woud ask. thanks
just checked out the brackets for $60.00 w/out the guard. fairly expensive. so i'm guessing only the 06' handlebars take the special brackets then.

Powermadd and some others sell some kits also, that would match nice with your color scheme

anybody have one of these for sale or wheres a good place to look for some? seems like only the 06' has a cetain mounting bracket.
