I have just completed a 250 mile with my new (to me) 07 Apex GT. Sled is awesome!!! I have installed Bergstrom 8" triple point carbides and currently have too many (196) studs in the track. I will reduce the stud count to 144 and remove them from the outside windows of the track and go 3 across in the center.

Sled handling is pretty good but I am getting inside lift in corners. Stud removal from outside windows will help for sure. Many people reference a 13mm Torsion bar swap for the Apex. Do these work well and where do I buy them? Any other handling / suspension insights are greatly appreciated. We ride the trails in northern Michigan and ride very fast and hard.

First try and lower/soften your front suspension so your A-arms are almost level with the ground. This helps alot. When it comes to the 13mm bar...I cant speak from experience but many on the forum here mention you will 'give to get' with the 13mm bar. Meaning, the sled will handle/corner better but will be rougher/stiffer in the bumps.

You can also try reducing your transfer. You'll have a little less bite on launch, but it really helps keep the front end flatter when cornering.

Also suck up your limiter strap by at least 2 holes mines at the second to last hole and soften up your front springs.

If you shorten your limiter strap to short you will LOSE alot of travel and ride quality out of your MONO suspension and steering will get very HEAVY, as mentioned earlier reduce TRANSFER soften front "A" arm spring preload to near zero with front end off the ground and set your limiter strap in centre hole for starters and also check your "SAG" setting to be between 40-45mm, yes a 13mm will help on inside ski lift but will make your sled ride harsher in uneven trails...but acceptable, if you off trail or back country I wouldn't reccomend it.
