I am going with 108 1.375 stud boys with double backers all down the middle belt. Has anyone done this? Im trying to decide if i want to go 4 studs per lug and skip every other lug or go two per lug on each. anyone done this? If so any viberation issues with either pattern?

What exactly are you trying to accomplish with this setup?

If you are only installing 108, I would stick with the standard 2 per lug. Or if you need to use up used double backers, buy 60 more singles and use the 168 pattern.

My $0.02

Cheers.

I am using dbl backers for strenght and trying to avoid 162 studs. My idea was going four in a row would aid this. If this didnt work it would be easy to go to 162. how do your 108 studs work for you?

Depends on what you are using them for. I have 1.4" Extreme studs and they are fine for safety braking and cornering on icy trails but that is it. I spin all the way down the ice track, even at 110+ mph the @ss end is walking around. Loose is fast though, lol.

I am going to 162 (?? 4-2-4 pattern) 1.450" Goldiggers this year.

Not too sure how the track will react to your pattern at speed or when accelerating hard. Although I have seen a pic of a snocross sled jumping and he had 1 double backer per row and offset them to create somewhat of a V pattern????

I did one double backer per pitch with no issues other then not enough studs. I now have 168 all double backers with 1.45 woodys. Two then one per pitch. IMHO 108 studs will just spin and tear up your track. Your conditions or riding style may be different so try it. You can always add more. My son crossfire has 108 and its perfect but its a two- smoke.
