Has anyone removed their Apex Mountain throttle cable and measured it? I have an Apex GT and put taller risers on the machine. I am looking to get rid of the most worthless throttle extender box from PowerMadd to a one piece cable. Does anyone have any information on where I can buy a longer cable or If the stock Apex Mountain cable is going to long enough? Any insight here would be appreciated.
Regards,

Tha Apex mtn cable will fit up to a 7" riser, Mtn Rx-1 cable is 1.5 longer than the Apex, will know in a week or so if it will work, Mtn Vector may be the longest I will compare them as soo as I get a Chance

I made the mistake of using the PowerMadd throttle extension with a 2" riser. Now I've got way too much throttle cable.

Did you have any issues with that cable extension?

I didn't really have a problem with the riser other than it was super annoying being zip tied to the handlebar. I just was a cluster and didn't look good with the extender.
Grapeape: are you saying these throttle cables mentioned above will have the same ends as what the apex does? Or are you thinking they will be different ends? Anyway I would greatly appreciate whatever results you may find! I need to do something different otherwise it will drive me nuts all winter long.
Regards,

same ends but the cabe to sheath length may be different. hope to try them out in the next week or so will post results.

I put on the Mtn rx-1 cable today, 1.5 in linger than stock, had to straighten out the 30* bend on the Rx cable with a vise. Also had to remove the adjustment nut on the cable to get enough cable freeplay, used loctite to keep the cable from moving. I am running a powermadd 8" riser with the 2" adapter block, and have enough cable to go another inch or so in riser height.Mtn Vector cable should be the same type of fittment, didnt need t osee if it was longer, so I did not order one.

I have an 07 apex mtn and had alot of problems with the tors and such. I called Dustin at outlaw motor sports where I bought the sled, he sent me a new throttle cable that he has custom made for sleds. He's a great guy and knows everything about yamahas. I think it was 55 or so for the cable.

I used the mtn Rx cable with no problems, other than bending my bars in a tree.
