Lat week at the Yamaha show in Albany the very early mod Apex had a rear heat exchanger but no radiator, it just wasn't ready. A rep told me that the production sled would not have a rear exchanger. Last night I looked at my dealers new book, it cleary states that the 06 will have a rear heat exchanger. I realize all the specs are subject to change, but, has anyone heard more on this?

Yes, as of right now they are still not sure if it needs to be there. They are showing it for now because all the proto's currently have them installed.

We know the radiators will be there, the question is whether or not the rear exchanger will be Matt. At the show I was at they were there but the rep said they wouldn't be on the production sleds.

The rep told me exactly that, but what got me was the printed literature given to the dealers, it clearly says that a rear heat exchanger will be added.

Then why does it say it in the printed material :ORC

I really don't care if it does or doesn't as long as it runs cool. I'm sure the fan on the radiator will work fine. I know how well it works on my Vmax bike; You here the fan kick on and can see the temp gauge start to drop litterally imediately.

I will tell you think My 03 with the rear exchanger has never over heated including last weekend on glare ice
