Hello all. I just finished an 07 Apex RTX build and took it out for its maiden voyage this weekend. I've read a lot about the rough ride of the CK skid and I can confirm, it is rough. It was a bucking bronco on whooped out trails. I just read through Rex's post about re-valving the shocks so they actually work.

Sitting in my barn is my 01 SRX build with a M10 skid in it. Now I'm thinking of swapping skids since I don't foresee choosing to ride the SRX over the apex. The Apex sits/ feels so much better.

How good does the re-valving really make it and would it compare to a M10 skid? Thoughts???

It will not compare to an M-10 ride quality wise, ever, although it will transfer weight much better and not rob as much top speed. I’ve had several sleds with several versions of the CK skid.......I’ve transplanted a stretched Mono into two of them now. I have my KYB in the Mono custom valved and sprung for the best ride I’ve managed to find yet with the least amount of compromise. I’ve never directly compared it to an M-10, but I’m not willing to give up decent weight transfer, so it’s a moot point anyway.
