I have a 2006 Attak and was wondering if I should go with the 5.7 upgrade kit for $239.99??? This seems a lot less expensive than going with other aftermarket brands to control this awful darting and hard steering. I was going to buy the woody duel carbides but at $80 a ski, I think the 5.7 upgrade kit would be a better solution. Any answers would help. Thank you!!!!!

I think that replacing the stock skis for Pilots is the best performance update you could do to your Yamaha. I know others are installing other aftermarket skis but if darting and hard steering are your concerns then the Pilots are your best choice. The Simmons flex skis I've heard are also very good but you will pay twice as much for those over the Pilots.

If I "Doo it" what do you think I could sell my new never used stock skies for?

Probably best off just keeping them around as spares and putting them back on the sled when you sell it. Then you get to keep whatever aftermarket skis you buy. There probably isn't a whole lot of demand for stock skis unless you're practically willing to give them away. I'll be keeping mine just in case when my Slydogs arrive.

I'm going to try 5.7 pilots this year. I was running doolys, but they seemed to hurt my gas mileage a bit. I got 2 pairs of Pilots shipped for $409. but spent another $50 on extra set of 6" center carbides. I think I convert one sled over at a time so I can compare back to back
