OK, so i put on a pair of Arrow skis from Kimpex, with 6 inch carbides 90deg times 4. Did not change anything on the sled. I had original skis on with transfer rod about 50% and 1 hole shorter on transfer strap.
Snow was soft, so difficult to say on hard packed what they will do, but all darting had disapearred, even on the icy road to get to the trail.
Cornering was slightly better than stock skis, again on soft stuff, but seemed to bite more on hard ice, with 2 carbides on each ski working. A little soon to tell, i'm leaving for a 7 day trip in 2 days, will have a full report when I come back. So far, 90% better on darting, 30% better on soft, over 50% better on hardpack, but that remains to be seen. Inside ski lift still about the same, will increase preload on ski shocks and go down on the transfer rod.
