Has anybody broke into the 7 second 1/4 mile run?

Cut & pasted from ESTA page;

Will we see the first 7-second pass on an asphalt sled this year? Will Jeff Cullen make it three in a row wins in the all-out Power-Adder Quick 16 class? Or will the "Mad Scientist" Rich Daly have something whipped up in his lab to dethrone Mr. Cullen? It'll all play out next weekend at Central New York's Playground of Power, ESTA Safety Park Dragstrip.
