Hi Guys, I have an 04 Warrior now with an Apex seat and a 1 1/2" riser. I turned over 10,000 miles and debating if I should upgrade to the fuel injected model or keep what I have. I definetly want a 136. I am an agressive trail rider and like to ride 200 + mile days. My question is has anyone come off of a Warrior to the Attak or Apex and can you give me some reports good or bad? Is it a night and day difference? I would really appreciate your thoughts. Also if anyone has a Nytro that had a warrior I would like your thought too. Thanks.

I had a 04 Rx-warrior.,,, that my brother now ownes.. and i had logged 3800 miles on it before i sold it to him..

THere is a night and day difference..

The apex has:

#1 Better seating position
#2 Feels 100lbs lighter when riding
#3 better rear suspension
#4 Better front suspension including improved shock angle and lower spindles
#5 Better hooked handle bars
#6 Better guages
#7 Way better throttle response
#8 Easier and more consistant starting

The only lows are

#1 Poor wind protection
#2 poor hand warmers

P.S. i had added 2 inches of foam to the seat of my Warrior, and a 1.5 inch riser and it still didnt ride as good or have as good of riding postion as my apex did stock.

You will hear a few people say that there isnt much differenc, ,but you need to ask them, how much time and money did you have to throw at your sled to make it ride or handle as good as a STOCK apex or ATTAK?

I've got 1,500 miles on an 08 Apex LTX since mid February. Came off of an 04 Warrior. What a difference. So much crisper throttle response, the mid range pull feels much stronger. The ride is significantly better! The Monos shock RA may not be a ditch banger, but for groomed trails and lake riding (drifts) no bottoming out where on the Warrior, not uncommon. The front seems to dart around more, still on the factory 4" carbides, those won't last much longer. Also, I've tightened up the front ski/springload, it seems to "body roll" in the twisties. I anticipate installing a 13mm swaybar by next season. But this chassis is much easier to move around on. I didn't really expect to like the rider forward ergos better than the "sit-down" Warrior. Also I added handguards as the handlebar warmers don't get as hot. So far I haven't looked back once, the Apex is a significantly different sled, all for the better.

I agree with Welter and DiWarrior.

5,000 miles seat time on Warrior, 3,000 on 06 Apex GT, 50 last weekend on a 08 Apex LTX.

LTX was as good or better than my GT. Deuce bars on my Apex and the LTX solved the darty front end vs the Warrior.

I disagree with Swiss on fuel mileage. My Apex gets about 1.5 mpg less than the Warrior did. About 16.5 vs 18 for the Warrior. [Canuk Gallon]

Go for an used Attak or new LTX .

I just rode my 03 RXWarrior today after riding my 07 Apex GT all season. WOW!! I won't ride it again!! I really can't understand what I liked about it in the first place? Other than the motor. That is still one great power house! 8 thousand miles, and not one problem! I did change the plugs once, just because I had thousands on the old ones, and did not notice any diff. The 03 gets better mileage than the 07 go figure? The sit stand is so much better on the 07. I will keep the Apex a long time! Any takers on the 03?
