Barker pipe spits on decel

I have a 2011 phazer RTX. I just put a barker pipe on. Engine is all stock. On de acceleration I get some slight pops. It's almost like a gurgle. It only dose it if I'm de acceleration if Theres still throttle. I'm saying when I come to a corner if I let up on the throttle it pops and gurgles. And an occasional blue flame according to guys behind me. But if I come into a corner and let totally off throttle nothin. Goes right to idel. Temps were in the 28-34 degree range. And my tunnel is completely blocked off. Question is can I fix this by getting into the computer and making adjustments or is this just typical of a free flow exhaust and just live with it. It's really not that bad to deal with just want it to be %100 right if I can.

Deceleration Backfire is caused by fuel burning in the exhaust manifold or header.

No ifs ands or buts, that’s what causes it. But the bigger question is how does gas get there in the first place, and that’s a bit more complicated. Generally, there are a variety of ways it gets there, and a variety of things that can make the backfiring worse. But there’s a kicker, and something you should understand before we go any farther:

A motor in perfect tune will exhibit deceleration backfiring.

Therefore, just because your motor is banging it up, doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong. And consequently:

Getting rid of the noise means de-tuning your motor.

At the end of the day, give the ecu some time to adapt, it should de-tune itself to a certain degree. It probably won't get rid of the backfire as stock exhaust does that too. You just don't hear it nearly as much.

I've never got a decel pop/backfire in 3 years. Running a pcIII, not sure if that makes a difference?

For sure a programmer would change that. First couple settings is usually fuel adjustments then last 4-5 are fuel and timing. Those are the +/- controllers. Not too up to speed on the PC 3 or 5 But I'm sure it's along the same lines.
IMO they manipulate timing to not allow exhaust valve to open before completion hence the pop. More air moving outward freely with no backpressure would hurt

Most backfiring on decal is caused by exhaust leaks.
Especially so on 4 strokes.
Check all your fittings/ joints and make sure they a sealed properly. Use high temp RTV if necessary.
