after a year of dragging + firewood, just put a $15 belt on my VK. its an 88, so YES has run out and I have to eat the cost, plus the hood isn't attached and takes 2 people to change belt

Put a new xs805 on my nytro when it was new in 09 and I now have 4927 miles on the same belt and it still looks good.No belt dust and no black on the clutch faces.I have my secondary locked with no side play and a 911 response kit on the primary.Works great.Ran the same setup on my 07 apex with the same results.

I am now at 6000km with the second belt. The first belt blow totally offf (I mean in 1 000 000 of pieces) at 5000km, after a lot of racing practice. I think it is good you i compare to my friends brp's, but not even close to my olds 700's.

Rode with 4 , (1) m1000 , and (3) cfr800 cats , 4 weeks ago on a saturday , 7 cat belts ! $228.00 each.

Funny thing happens when threads like this come up whether its a doo, yamaha or whatever. Before you know it guys start to think all Nytros are belt eaters. (Just put sled away with 8300km Second belt still on sled and looks brand new)Just thinking out loud. 
do you guys that have all these miles on your belts spend any time at all boondocking

Being from Manitoba just like you are, I'm not sure we know what real boondocking is. I've been to Sicumus B.C. now thats Boondocking!
