Hey Guys,
I'm having difficulty with the belt heighth on my wifes 2008 Vector LTX GT. The belt will not rise in the secondary when I let off the throttle. Instead of resting 1/8th inch above the secondary, it's 1/4 below the top edge of the secondary. I've put on a brand new belt and added a spacer to the adjusting bolts with not effect.
Any thoughts as to what might cause this?
Thanks

Depending on mileage it could be slider buttons, sacked secondary spring, or a bad bushing. Pull it off, clean and inspect. Bet you'll find the issue.

I installed my new -01 belt today and noticed it sat about a 1/4" inch down in the secondary just like the old one did.
I was hoping with the new belt it would sit higher but I guess my oild belt is not worn that bad?
I put an Ulmer's Clutch kit in and replaced the buttons at the same time plus cleaned it real good so I guess removing/adding washers on the back side of the secondary is my only option.
The sled only has 3,020 miles.
Where exactly should it be sitting, 1/4" above or almost flush?
Thanks

I found this link, and I can turn my track easily with one finger or sometimes the track slightly moves on it's own with no help from me, so am I good to go?
Seems odd as it sits low in the secondary imo, but it does do what is written in the link.
