Best seat option 05 rx-1

Looking to put either a apex,apex mountain,or nytro seat on my 05 rx-1. what do u guys recommend?

I have an Apex seat on my 03 RX1, love it, combined with a riser I can actually ride all day without feeling crippled the next day.

can anyone explain the differences of the 3 seats nytro apex and apex mountain? stiffness ?height? width?? etc..im 6-4...have 3 inch roxx risers now but w stock seat,,,,thanks,,,

With your height, go with the mountain seat. I had one on my Attak and at 6'3", it was a big improvement. I now have a Boss and under tunnel and it's even better lol!!

big price variation on the seats....apex roughly $585. apex mountain $563. nytro $626 all for the 2006 model year....whats with the way off nytro seat price? any feed back ,,anyone know the differnces btwn the seats?

What yr?will tail lights work and exhaust covers?

Both will work but you have to change the rear fascia trim for the triangle light you have to change the exhaust covers the with the old light, fascia and round lights the reveal of the seat lower edge will look a bit off.

If you change to the tirangle light you just have to cut connector off the wires to connect it.

You can find all the parts at swap meets or at sled junk yards. Last one I did cost under $150.00 for everything. I cannot remember for sure but if you switch lights fasica covers I think I had to re weld the flanges on the exhaust to accept the tips. cause the angles are different on the mufflers on the apex.

This ne has the original covers, tips and fascia on it.

The seats are the same other thatn the foam gets a little firmer on the later models. This seat is off an 06

This should fit on a 05 rx-1 correct, except for the light hook up..just have to change the plug? i want to keep rx1 light and exhaust covers,,,thanks

If I recall rightly, the only plug that needs to be replaced is the front one. I just cut and spliced the one on from the RX-1 seat.

Yes but you still have to trim the fuel tank cover plastics
