What's the best stud pattern to run on my nytro xtx? I want to keep ten
In the center of track nothing on the outside!

Studs

I ran a three three two pattern, just don't put any in the exact center of the track, they will rub on the end of the shock where the shock almost rubs the track as it is
:bling

It would look something like this

Sleddingfarmer you want to stay away from the center and favor closer the the rails ~ 1 better hook up and 2 the front shock is mounted so close to the track the stud heads wear the shock eye.

As mine are installed, none are hitting the shock. But thats on a RTX so I dunno if they would even if I did stud the center. Probably under certain conditions I'm sure.

I try to stud as much of the center of the track as possible, without getting the very center, for the shock hitting reason, and for track ballooning under high speed.

- Also, that was all just winging it, no templates for me. All they do is limit the number of scratch lines you can get. You see how crooked they are? lol no template

Anyone know if studding a 1.5 intense is a good idea? I'd only stud the center with doubles and put in 96 for a little extra. It's just a thought for now. Thanks

I think studding a 1.5" is pushing it. I know there are guys here on TY who have done it, and said it works fine tho.

Biggest lug on a nytro I'd feel comfortable studding would be the 1.375 sno pro track.

how about the 144 double single center pattern from woodys universal template? would be 172 studs leaving 2 pitches the same in the end would that hurt anything?

I like the 4-2-4 pattern that uses double backers..it gives around 12 scratch lines

Is it 12 or 18 scratch lines i thought woody's site said with that pattern on a 121 track is 18. does that change with a 144 track?

You could be right...I just it's a good pattern with alot of scratch lines ;)!

do u think with two pitches being the same due to the 57 pitch track I will have any issues?
