I like the performance of the Maverick track, it works great. I am wondering if one of the new Camoplast Extreme tracks which are a little stiffer would hook up better out of the whole??? When the turbo comes on it is doing alot of spinning under there. Then what would be the trade off on the other end. I think the Extreme might hook up better out of the hole and we have plenty of track speed already to swing the extra weight of it on the top end. Anyone else tried a different track yet?? Or any thoughts

Are you D&R? I want to do the same thing and switch to a camo 2.5". I love that track. I don't want to swap it until I get some more room under there though! Drop brackets are happening now, but still need more room.

I switched my Maverick out in favor of the Camoplast 2 1/4 challenger 15" wide. This changed every thing about the sled for the better. Handles and throws around better, hooks up on launch and climbs better, will not spin the track nearly as bad. The biggest improvement is down hill braking. The only negative is high speed. The Maverick was smoother at 100 + mph.

Big Bull I am not D&R. I thought i might try the 2.5 16W anyway and would trim it if it needed it. With the 2.5 i figure i would have 1/2" clearance at the tightest spots.

Yamazoom I was also looking at that track as i would like the clearance better. I was worried though that the i would want the xtra width to help stop the stiffer paddles from trenching so much. Also like that yours is a few pounds lighter than the wider one.

Cool! thats whats going on mine today!!

Trimming the outside corners of the 16"x2.5" camo would be a must after looking at the tunnel and track path. I have track marks all over in there with the Mav as it is. I might wait until I do my tunnel. Let me know how it goes if you opt to do it!

i have had both tracks on my sled and the 2.5 is just a bit too tall. i have the 7 tooth 3"pitch drivers and the 2.5 would actually rub right above the drive shaft till you tightened it up. the 2.25x15x3" pitch track is what i have on it right now and it works great! it works a heck of a lot better than the pathetic attack 20 i had on last year!!!!!!!!!

as for the trenching deal, if you are going at low speeds then the 15 might trench a bit more than a 16 but when your on the gas it doesn't trench it planes!!!!!!! the 15 will be a lot lighter and easier to side hill also.

just my 2 cents worth
