Brackets on bottom of brake block

I was working on putting a riser on my bars the other day and noticed that there appears to be mounting provisions on the bottom side of the brake lever block. Are they for a left hand throttle? or something else?

Its for a manual choke,the housing is from an rx-1 yamaha never changed it.

ahhh, makes sense, I figured it had to be something like that.
