Shimming sounds like it is a must on these skis (razors or outlaws) and what I am wondering is how long will the rubber boot last with a shim in it? Or will the rubber be shot yearly like it is with the stock rubber? Mount kits are pretty expensive.
So, what do you all do, special type of shim material or design? Is the C and A boot better? Thanks for your help.

I dont own C&A'S but I cant relate to the POS stck stoppers. I have discovered a type of shim that seems to be better. If you go to Lowes in the plumbing department they sell these shims for toilet bowls, they come in a hard pack or a soft pack. $3 bucks for a pack. I used the soft ones for the stock rubbers and they dont seem to destroy the boot,I used the soft ones you might have to double them up and they cut easy with a razor blade.

I have C&A Razors and shimmed them the rubber mounts that came with the kit to mount is way harder than the stock rubber so i do not think there will be any problem here.

Why did you have to shim them, did C&A say to shim these,i would think for the money, they would be bolt on and go,did you try them first just the way they came? And how do you like them,do they rail like some say,and no darting like advertised, and float good!!! They are onmy to do list,so feed back would be good. thanks petedarv said:I have C&A Razors and shimmed them the rubber mounts that came with the kit to mount is way harder than the stock rubber so i do not think there will be any problem here.

I have heard that these skis can in fact dart a little. And Bountyhounter suggests steering effort can be reduced with when shimming...I too would like to know what your review of the skis are Darv, did they Dart?
