I am thinking of trading in my 136 ripsaw off my Attak for an Ice ripper ripsaw. I was wondering if anyone had any good or bad opinions on this track. I just want the added braking and safety on hard frozen surfaces that the track is suppossed to give. Not a real racer here.

Thanks,

Kirk

If anyone is interested in my track feel free to make an offer. It should have around 300 miles by the end of the weekend. Any other places other than Tracks USA that will take them on trade?

I swapped my track for the ice ripper. I don't have enough miles on yet to give an educated opinion, but, the studs in the lugs are well made and I'm glad I did it. I'm like you in that I simply wanted the added safety.

Please let us know if it provides the saftey difference. I think there are alot of us wondering about restudding in the future, but want the tracking and braking we are used to.

Thanks
Good post

Both Warrior63 and I put the Ice rippers on the new Attacks. LOVE them, have put 600 miles on (all in the UP so far) and prefer them to a old style studded track. Bites great on iceycorners, but the most noticable advantage inho is the feel of a stock soft track in low snow or road crossings.

Almost NO track stretch after the first ride (300 miles) NEVER had that with the studded conventionals.

I think that these are the wave of the future. But if you want conventional studs, they are now offedring the ripsaw with the holes pre cast ( not drilled). You could put what ever brand stud you prefer, and not worry about cut cords.

Get one you wount be sorry.
