Yamaha has dropped the RED Grizzly color and changed to a more burgandy color. :o| I may just have to sit on my old 2006 for another year until they come to their senses. I am not going to settle for a leftover 08 even though the only changes are BOLD NEW GRAPHICS. :moon: After seven new RED 4x4 yamaha's I am bumbed. They really screwed the pooch on that move.

The new Suzuki looks good, has a real 750cc engine, and most importantly comes in RED. ;)!

Yes I did see the black one at the dealers and I think it would look bad after a couple of winters or riding in the desert. I really wanted a RED one  . I could settle for blue or green but RED is my color.

Red matches your truck mo gooder eh?

On another note, Black and Yellow would be a nice choice too if it were offered.

Well since all of our 4x4's have been RED I bit the bullett and bought the red 08 that the dealer had. I just couldn't see getting a Kawi or Suzi so I just lowered my expectations and got the color and machine I wanted. It is mo gooder lookin in my red RAM.

I also got hot grips, alloy front skid plate, winch ($69) and an extra air filter. My 27" Dirt Devils will fit also. ;)! I really wanted an 09 but with only Bold New Graphics as the only change I am satisfied.

They also gave me $5000 trade on my old one. LaLaLa

Mike, let me know what your mileage is. My last tank i was 90 miles and empty... is this normal out of a 660? The only BOMBS are a K&N filter, and stock jetting. Tires are +1 Mud Bugs.

I am still debating the 700 issue....

You can be empty at 90 miles if you are riding really hard. Did it run out and cause you to switch to reserve? You really can't tell by what the gauge says. With 27" tires mine gets around 19mpg which is good for right at 100 miles. The fuel injected machines with stock tires seem to get around 23mpg. I rode with guys last winter one with a 700 Yam and one with a 700 Suzi and they consistently got 23mpg with stock tires.

Where the hell are you guys riding? Down hill on asphalt with a tailwind?. Around home, on gravel roads and hay fields I get 100km (62.5miles) out of both my 04 660 and 07 700 with 589 m/s tires on both. In the hills, (Canadian Rockies) I'm looking at 75km or so before I need gas. This is not hardcore mud riding, just a nice mix of everything where I can usually navigate most of it in 2wd.

Camo, we are riding in the Arizona desert. Lots of loose sand and gravel with no shortage of bolders for miles. My friend has a 700 Suzuki and he always gets about 25mpg. Just picture one of your small streams with no water in it and that is what we ride in about half of the time.

My old 660 with 27in tires would always go around 100mi on a tank of gas.

I actually like that new red....it's got a lot of variation and depth to it, and it looks awesome in the sun.

450GRL, the new red looks nice and is pretty. Just picture it full of scratches from front to back. That is what happens to quads where I ride in the desert. It seems that everything out here has thorns on it.
