heres the deal its my wifes sled and hasnt ridden at all so this is a new experince. i was going to go w/ bergs. tripple points but wondering if maybe the S.B deuce dually bars would be better. that and i really dont to wait for month for bergstroms. any input for a new rider. oh and i put 96 studs in for her as well down the middle for traction.

You'll get votes for all 3 you mentioned but I like my Woody's 6" Doolies. I'd like to experiment with the Stud Boy Duece bars but it would be a $100+ experiment.

I have 144 studs in my Vector (includes the outside belts) and I think that contributes to my lower speed corner push more than the Doolies do. I have the DB1 chassis which I've heard is another culprit too.

I vote for the 6" Woody's. 6" shouldn't be too much for 96 studs.

I say go with the Deuce bars by Studboy. Also, shim the skis a little more so that the front of the carbides are a bit off the ground while parked on a flat surface. This will help give the sled a bit easier steering, which I'm sure she'll appreciate. Maybe go with the 4" carbides also in this situation.

ya maybe it was the set up on my apex last year but i didnt like the woody's has they dug a trough and pushed bad in the corners(which was the set up) and she'll wont be very aggressive as i am. thanks guys.

The more I read on the skeg issues the more I get confused.

Woody's
I use them on my 02 Venture and love them
Had them on my 01 SRX and they work well there too. BUT, I've tried everything on my 07 Rage GT to get the woody's to work to my liking, and no luck.
So

After reading Bergstorms awesome web site I was ready to go with them, but then read that they are a long wait or hard to get.

Then someone mentions the deuce bar.
I was thinking those before reading about Bergs'

Totally confused...LOL

I think I'm just going to go with a 6" "Good & Ugly"

the woodys doolies clog in the middle that is why the push... run a regular carbide with a bigger shim in the spindle...

That makes "cents".
In the morning the Dooly feels pretty good on the really hard stuff (trail)
But as the trails soften up, the sled pushes like a train.

Went thru quite a bit of "Duals" myself....
Stuck on StudBoy Deuce.. for two things:

-smooth front & back profile. I barely see a top end speed lost compared to a single.

-The only set i seen has withstand an whole season of my ride.. so i start this season with my last year set which i usually don't do. I see just few minor lost spot.

As for the ridings, i can just set things up with it to my very liking. I don't have to shop anymore for me. But hey.. this is just me. RS Venture, either 1 or 2, sometime quite agressive, only trail (of course) and getting to the 25000 km.

..that makes 2 "cents".

I went with Roetin XPR-1 6.5" with no studs and they are still lasting with 3000 miles on them....If you set it up wrong it will still dart with these...After getting the shocks where I need them I have no issues and they turn on concrete..

the biggest thing is the bergstroms are twice as much money as well as the deuce dually's i have heard it takes forever as well on getting the bergs. but i'm waiting to hear from him in the next week on the ones i ordered and if i dont i'll just go w/ the stud boy duallyis for her sled.

I haven't tried dual runners or triplepoints, but I'm pleased with the Woody's 6" singles that I put on my Vector GT (the track is not studded). I think anything is an improvement over the stock runners and, as mentioned by others, spring preload and transfer settings can make a big difference in handling. Less transfer makes mine corner very well on hard packed trails. More transfer seems to allow a little inside ski lift on the same trails but is better for goofing around off trail. Darting wasn't a big problem for me, but there was some. Shimming really does help minimize it.

so you guys have set your transfer rods to the min mark to stop the transfer right? this is what i was thinking of doing on hers and my apex to try to see how it handles.

From experience,I put Stud Boy Deuse Bars on and I'm glad I did. I missed a hairpin trail and went down over a steep bank heading back on to the lower part of the trail where several sleds were parked. The Deuse Bars allowed me to miss them by simply stearing back on to the trail. With Yamaha single bars, I would have ended up in a crash as everyone scattered when they saw me coming down off the steep bank. Woodies Dually's or the new Carver runners would have done the same thing for me I suspect but, not those single runners that came with the sled. Also, the Deuse Bars steer easier and eliminate all that darting I had before. . MiKe-05 Vector. Eden, Vt
