A friend recently purchased 2007 Apex ER and I just noticed that the secondary has a Hauck helix on it. Not sure how my friend is going to like this as he likes all his sleds as stock as possible. Can you guys give me any info on what he should expect?
Its just the helix on the secondary which is stamped HAUCK POWER 6 9 SPORTS H 0 3. And it has a green spring which I don't believe is stock on this sled. I think stock is pink. Came with 144 studs.
Primary looks stock as far as I can tell. Black spring.
I also emailed Hauck Powersports to see what they could tell me.
Thanks!!!

kit
that's their kit for apex, black spring in clutch is not stock, most kits
from them run on the hot side, they do alot of changing rpms with
secondary. stock spring is y-s-y

What does y-s-y mean? The primary spring looks all black and the secondary is green.

spring
yellow-silver- yellow and the secondary is pink or white, white is for attak but some use it on shorties.
hauck spring is all black stiffer then stock, if your buddy wants stock
put the stock weights back in with spring combo. and for trail riding
he will be happy.

The green is an artic cat spring that alot of guys are now running with heel clicker II setup. The steeper ramp of the hauck helix makes up for the stiffer spring. the net result is about the same shift points with more pressure on the belt to reduce slippage.
