At 6000 feet and above having difficulty obtaining peak rpm, getting a max of 8300 and understand should be 8900, my dealer said I need to change my stock green/white drive clutch spring to the green/pink and will be okay, seems odd not changing any weights, does that sound right?

About to do first oil change any recommendations for oil, Yamaha recommends 0W30 Semi syn? was perhaps considering a different brand?

Also I understand an improved front sub frame is now available as of March 7th anybody confirm?

Thanks

I thought I read it somewhere in this site, but now I can't find it, it appears someone deleted most of the topics on the subframe issue, even my posting from back in January is completed deleted?? weird?? I understand the engineers are working on the issue for the 2009 sleds.

I tried a different primary spring and cranked up my secondary it helped abit but was still falling on its face in the steep and deep.. My dealer here said to try taking some weight of the primary, but I talked with Tom Hartmen and bought his clutch kit... It woke the bottom end up and it holds the revs now... $400 well spent.. That and setting the skis up properly are the best two things that Ive done.. The fun factor went up another notch..

Who is Tom Hartman and where do I find him?, Thanks I did the skis and a few suspension adjustments and sure made a big difference on handling actually to the point where I won't sell it.

I turned the rubber blocks around on my skis last week so the skis are pointed up now when the front end is jacked up big improvement, then added wooley dooley runners 4 inch carbide... Put over 200kkms on last weekend on trail/powder conditions.. Night and Day differnce I can steer with one hand now cant believe it.. I rode the first 800 km with the thing darting all over the place fighting it etc... Ive got some simmons gen IIs that Im waiting to try, supposed to really help in the deep stuff with the heavy front end..
www.hartmaninc.com great guy Tom knows his stuff,, put his kit on and geared it down on top as I went too a 162,, his kit woke this thing right up..
