Last weekend 15 miles into the ride, I stopped to talk to some guys. When I went to start up, nothing. Gauges showed engine light & code 11. Had to be doubled back to the tow vehicle. Took it to the dealer on Monday. They checked it over, took off the starter & said it was fine, checked the grounds on the battery & all good. They checked the voltage at the sensor & it was reading 5 (specs say it needs 4.8) so all should have been good. Thought maybe a faulty sensor so they replace that. They showed me how to reset the gauges if the code came on again (as Code 11 disables the starter).

Picked it up today from the dealer $377 lighter. Brought it home & rode it into my garage. Couple of hours later decided to go for a run. Started right up, loaded it on the trailer. Unloaded it, rode it for about 7 miles to a gas station to top up the tank. Go to start it again & nothing, no start & Code 11 again. Tried to reset it to drive it, called the dealer to make sure I was doing it right. Still would not reset, so sitting there with a sled that will not go. Dissapointing to say the least. Bought the Yammie for reliability & after these last 2 short trips seems to be I may have a lemon. Warranty ran out the end of November, less than 250 miles since & now this.

Told the dealer we need to find out what is wrong, I'm not just going to put new parts on it hoping to find a solution, I need a solution. Almost $400 every 7 miles seems a little steep to me. :o| Next time they will be test driving it before I take it home.

Dealer did come & pick it up this time & loaned me a sled (09 Apex). Not sure what else I can ask from the dealer. Hoping Yamaha has some idea what is going on & helps out some. Less than 6000 miles on my Attak & all service done by the dealer. Was going to look at the 2011 but if this issue can't be resolved I will likely have to go back to the unreliable ski-doos I rode before (never did have any issues in 9000 miles on my 01 Formula).

Maybe you guys have some tips to get my Attak performing properly again. Like the sled, BUT if I can't count on it then it will have to go!
