Started my third season on my GT with a little over 2200 miles. I had never experienced the cold relay starting problems including starting my sled for 3 mornings last season after -40C nights. The first morning, and every morning for the last 8 days in QC my sled would fire the fuel pump but only click when trying to start. On the first morning I took all the relays out and brought them inside to warm them up. On the second morning I simply put my hand on them to warm them and turned the key off and on until it cranked. In really cold weather I doubt this would work but its worth a try if you find yourself in that spot. BTW by putting your hand on the relays you can physically feel them moving and it seems that when cold its just not throwing all the way. (I really don't know but thats what I'm guessing).

Will new relays solve this problem?

Depends on if it is making a contact when it clicks. You'd have to take a reading on the positive starter terminal with a voltmeter when activating the solenoid (to see if it is sending voltage to the starter then) when this happens.
The solenoid could be making noise but sticking enough to not make a connection sufficient to engage the starter when it's that cold.
If it is getting voltage, it's not the solenoid and start looking at the terminal connection on the starter or the starter itself (internal issue).
