Just wondering how many people have this clutch kit for there Apex and how it worked. I didn't have good luck with mine and wondering what you guys are running in the heavy hitters for bolts and washers?

I have ridden 2 sleds with his set up. The rpm,s were dead nutz on & sleds performed well.

I called Jeff a bunch of times and went over the set up. I was going to take it down by him and put it on the track dyno. He is just too busy and keeps canceling on me.

Is the sled healthy with no other issues?
What are your rpm,s from dead stop to top end?
Are you running filters?
How are the heavy hitters configured?
Whats the secondary set up?
This is all minimal gotta know stuff to even begin to help you out.

sled is 09 new this year with 1300 miles an no issues before clutching it. The primary has stock spring in it. The heavy hitters are set up is 1/4 allen in heel, 2nd hole 7/16 bolt and thick washer, 3rd hole 7/16 bolt thick washer and thin brass washer. Secondary has stock helix with Cpr custom secondary spring wrapped at 2/3. The rpms pretty much go right to 11,000 and stay there.

I would put the 3/4 allen in the heel and replace the thin washer with a thick in the tip. You are spinning to many RPMs. Not sure what spring Jeff is including for the secondary as of late but if its the stiff one he uses in his Turbo packages, 50 degrees (3 and 2) is WAY to stiff.

turk will help you, i know his secondary spring is very stiff, you should have tried stock spring to see difference.

Toss the stock secondary sprink back in
go with 3/4 & 1/4 allen in heel
I think i had about 5 grams 1st hole & 5 grams tip with that set up plus running an advant-edge 48/40 helix which was a lot more aggressive then the stock 51/43.
This is going back to my 06 attak which ran well with hh,s.

That could be a Yamaha white with the white paint spot rubbed off. If that is a Yamaha white, you need to load up your weights more than they are. Load the heel full and replace thin washers with thick. If you have to add 2 washers, do so.
The spring in that pice does not look like one of his turbo springs. To me it looks like a Yammi White.

viperguy, sorry i've been so busy, we are getting our asphalt racing program up and running right now, and since you really can't use your sled until december, i figured it could be done after the asphalt sleds were running. i can get you in after the martin race this weekend if all goes well, that is the correct spring, 3-2 is the correct setting.
as others have said... there are alot of variables that could be causing your problems. you are the only one i know of who has been unhappy with the kits performance, but i will do my best to find out what the problem is with your sled. give me a call on tues. jeff

Thanks Jeff, I know I can't use my sled until December. It's been sitting around for 2 months with the suspesion out of it and wanted to put it away for the summer.
