Well I pulled the primary clutch off to clean it, I pulled the cover off and removed the spring and noticed one of the weights wasn't moving freely like the other two, so I removed the set screws and the bolt that hold it in place, and re-tightened to spec, it seems alright now. I don't know very much about clutches at all, but noticed some marks two spots on the move able sheave, can anyone tell me if these are cracks or will I be alright? And is there any more clutch maintenance I should be doing, I just soak them in the sink with some soap and clean up the belt dust look for cracks and scuff up the sheave surfaces, clean the bearings behind the clutch and add some grease and re-install everything.

Hard to tell in the pictures if it is a crack or casting marks. Try and get a closer picture maybe with out the flash. Do you see the crack on the sheave face at all. If not it is probably casting marks.

Also where did you put grease. These clutches run dry. The moveable sheave bushing or bearings as some call them are self lubricated type of material. Never put any oil or grease in these areas, they will attract dust and dirt and cause problems down the road. About the only place you can put grease if you want is inside the clutch bore where it goes onto the crank shaft but it is not needed there either. Just make sure the bore is clean of any rust and that's good. Fluid film or WD-40 wiped on with your finger at most.

X2 no grease or oil on clutches!! just wash them and blow them dry.

Ya I know, I didn't mean I was applying grease to the clutch, I meant I was cleaning the old grease out of the jackshaft and driveshaft bearings. My belt is riding within spec on the secondary clutch but I was going to add a washer to make it ride a little higher, should I stick with the Yamaha washer or could I just get one close to the same size from the hardware store?

Tough to find them that thin and with the same size hole. If you find one with a smaller hole and right thickness you could drill it out but it's kind of a bugger to hold them in a vice with enough pressure and not squeeze them. I have done it when I lost one.
