This might be beat to death but, might have a problem with my plugs. Everybodies talking about the CR10EK's. Went to my dealer the other day to purchase some and they gave me the CR9EIA-9 Laser Iridium's. They told me these are the plugs the 4 strokers are running. Can somebody give me some info on these? Are they comparable to the CR10EK's or are they different all together? Can I run these? What are the pro's and con's? Any and all info is greatly appreciated. Thanks guy's.

I believe Ulmer has tested the Iridiums and has gained no power with them, use the 10's

B.S. CR10EK's are just fine. Sled runs great and I have been running them in my 2005 RX-1 since I bought it. In fact on a routine service my dealer put the stocks in and I noticed a difference immediately. I ordered online in bulk and had them in day.

I have the 10 in mine and stock in the wifes rx1 and hers will foul once in a while the 10 never have fouled.

Though either will foul (matter of chance and how you treat the thing), 10's will definitely foul easier than 9's. On top of that, due to their design, EK's are much more susceptible to fouling than standard plugs, and iridium plugs, because of the very fine point, are much less likely to foul.

LB experience with the two in real world usage tells a different story. The 10,s work better for not fouling up must be because of the two tips but they just have not fouled on me yet. Where the 9's have.

The reason the 10's are better for not fouling is the spark can only use one stem on each stroke, usually it uses the same one with the other not used, kind of gets used to the same path you might say, well if that stem fouls out guess what it has a perfectly good second stem to use and will keep on working with the second stem. So basically you get to foul out these plugs twice before they quit working, nice concept....seems like all 2 bangers should use these..
