Hi guys did all the tricks to help it stop darting and heavy steering. What is the best skis?? Trial riding? I put some 5.7 pilots on my Rx1 a few years back they were sweet!!! What you guys think? I have Power Pros on there now but i think they are worse than stock.

Thank you Skydog

I have Pilots on both My Apex and Nytro and they are an awesome trail ski. No darting and they turn awesome. The only negative I know of is they push a bit in loose powder. The steering is very light and precise in most conditions.

Don't go with an agressive ski on the nytro it gets way to hard to turn and also makes it twitchy, I borrowed a set of simmons flexi skis this weekend and they are way to aggressive you have to be hulk hogan to steer it.

5.7 pilots on the WAY!!! I did try some of these when they frist came out on my RX1 i LOVED them. Took them off (why i dont know) put some Powder pros on they where better in the deep but not even close to the 5.7 pilots anywhere else!

One more thing DO NOT USE Powder Pros on the Nytro!!

Just put Pilots on mt Nytro FX (standard) and rode 335km yesterday. Fantastic ski, absolutely love them. Have a pair of Curve XS coming and am told they are an amazing ski, will try them next weekend on the Phazer.

You can buy the complete kit at any Ski-Doo dealer for under $300

Razors on order. Ill post when i have tested. Stock skis are worthless in looser conditions eaven with better wearbars.

I made a comparison between CA Pro ADX and CA Pro XT this weekend, both equipped with Stud Boy Shaper Bars 6x60. The comparison was made on extremely soft trails and off-trail.

Compared to the standard ski, both of these skis offer much better steering response and pure "steering traction" (no pushing into and out of corners). With these skis you can actually turn your sled without jacking the front limiter strap up all the way...

The off-trail flotation of the XT is superior and they also offer a little bit better "steering traction" than the ADX. Unfortunately they also require more steering effort than the ADX, which tends to slow you down a bit if you get into a series of extremely tight corners.

I will try a set of Powder Pros one or two weekends from now. Unless that impression becomes very positive I think I will stay with the CAs for further testing.

Go with the USI triple threats and you will not be sorry, I love mine on my Rtx. A buddy of mine just put them on his 06 rev and he loves them.

Ski-doo sell a kit that has everything you need, just bolts right on to the Yamaha.

Razors are very positive but make the steering very heavy !

New USI's this weekend.

I have a Std Nytro and had softened up the front end slightly as last time out with the stock skis (I had pulled the front limiter up 2 holes). Because the USI's have a much more agressive keel, I left the front springs alone, and let the limiter back out one hole.

It was awful... the sled wanted to 'really' lift the inside ski (never an issue before). The tapered back of the USI meant there was very little on the snow to keep the sled down. Very unsettling to say the least. I gradually went back to stock settings on the front springs (it had been backed off 2 1/2 turns)... and wow what a difference.

I love these skis now. No problems staying on my buddies a$$ all day. He has a 800XP... the X version with no studs. We ride hard, and he was definatley pushing in the corners... but those sleds sqat hard on acceleration, so this could be rear skid set-up on his part. I do not run coupling blocks (yet), but had no such issues.

I never had darting issues with the stock skis, but the front end was never positive. 'Nervous' comes to mind. These skis did help significantly in that regard.

There is a little more steering effort... but I will trade that in any day for the positive feedback I now have in the corners.

By the end of the day, I was flat out in love with the skis.

PS
Stage 1 is all anyone will need for the trail.
