Anyone have comments on the Bender TS-3 Transfer Rods on the '03 RX-1. I'm considering selling and just getting the quick nut adjusters. I thought I read somewhere the Bender rods allow more adjustment.

Get maxxperf rods
http://www.maxxperf.com/Quick_Rods.htm
You don't want the benders - they're lowers. The problem with the 03 uppers is they're weak and have a tendency to break. maxxperf rods are extra strong.
In fact, I have a set I don't need any more (blue nuts)... make me an offer (PM).

I have the Benders on my 05 Warrior with no trouble. They do offer more adjustment. You can get some great weight transfer.

Used one season. See my sig - replaced the whole skid with an ExpertX... The rods don't degrade except for the OEM ones which break (I broke two OEM's separately - same side).

Ummm, stupid question, but what's the diff between uppers and lowers LB? You mean the rod breaks, not the lower section, which is what Bender replaces? I thought about just using the Benders since I have them already, but if I can get a set of quick nuts and get the same or near same performance and save say 50 bucks, then why not sell the benders and get the quick nuts. I've never busted any suspensions on either of my Sx-R's on don't plan on riding the RX as hard as them, since I know that this sled is no where near the ditch pounder those were with the extra weight.

The extra power and weight is what kill the rods. They took the same rods that were good with the lighter weight and weaker sleds and didn't think about the fact that this sucker is bigger and heavier. My first rod broke (and took the track with it) near the end of breakin WAY before I started to pound the thing. After I started getting somewhat more agressive with it, I snapped AND BENT another (and shredded my SECOND track). Then I switched to the maxxperf rods and beat the living crap out of it and never had another problem.
But yeah, the lower is the part that bolts to the rail, the upper is the part with the nut that goes up to the upper axle. When it breaks, it is actually the RING on the upper that goes around the upper axle.
