Hello,
I redid my seat to be 5" taller.
I'm getting a powermadd pivot adaptor and a 5" block.
I'm also getting a throttle cable extension.
Do I need anything else to make this work? Will the brake and other wiring on the handle bar work after lifting the bar up 6" (1" pivot + 5" block)?????

I would say no. I put a 3" on and had to reroute the brake line and parking brake cable. Any higher and I don't think they would fit.

How did you redo your seat? I want to bring mine up to the top of the tank cover. I'd buy a BOSS, but they are too many $$ and butt ugly.

5" of foam
With 5" the seat is pretty much level with the top of the gas tank.
1. Remove seat cover
2. Sew black vinly extensions of 3" on sides of seat cover
-- We'll trim off the extra when its back together
-- I hand stitched with black 20lb test fishing line
-- If you have a sewing maching use that with 10-20lb test line
2. Have to relocate where the wire holds the back of the seat
-- The flat part of the seat normally kicks up in the back to the part
that says "do not sit here".
-- After adding the foam the seat will instead kiick down to the part that
says "do not sit here"
-- to make this happen sew a new place for the wire to hold the seat
down. (use fishing line again)
3. Put 5" foam on top of seat, cut as you desire
4. hook up the wire thing
5. Staple back of seat cover in place
-- Be carefull on the part that goes by the brake light, make sure the
staples are far enough "in" to not be seen later.
6. Staple front of seat cover in place
7. Staple sides of seat cover in place using new vinyl we sew'd on earlier
8. DONE
I'll try to remember to post some pictures tomorrow...

Don't forget the pivot adds another inch or so and you will be over 6".

I really want to see that seat, and how about a 5" articulated riser instead of a pivot and riser block? Doesn't make sense to buy 2 items to get the same effect as 1. More bolts, places to fail, weight, etc. Check out
