Ok guys, there has been a lot of very good suggestions/fixes to this exhaust problem. We have had a few years to test the new "fixes", (copper donuts, SS y-pipes, grinding the clamps down, RockerDans RTV ideas, wiring the clamps to prevent rotating, etc). My y-pipe and donuts need replacing. So what is the consensus, should I do all of the above, or just some of the fixes? In other words how many miles have you guys seen with the above repairs vs. the stock donuts and Ti y-pipes. I have 6500 miles on my Attack and love it.

Thanks
Bill

I've ground the clamps a little and use ultra cooper exhaust gasket.
get around 3000 to 3500mile.
I think using the gasket calk and grinding the clamps down give you an extra 1000mile or so.
I've changed mine 5 times now and some times i wonder why , they are still in really good shape but then other times there's little left of the donuts, with same miles on them.
I would like to go to the cooper donuts but just waiting for multiple people to say they are getting high miles out of them with no problems.

cheers

Someone posted a while back they left the mounting bracket to the tunnel OFF. Wonder how that turned out?
I had the rivets wear throw last year so that bracket wasn't hooked up and the header pipes cracked in half. If you have your gas tank off check those rivets because they wear threw. :o|

Ok good advice. I actually bolted my bracket back in place. Might as well take the seat off and have a peek.
