Might as well replace. Clean that one up and use as a spare. Its a pretty easy job. I just did it last night and took about an hour start to finish. They clean up pretty easily. All seem to have different methods. I use brake cleaner to soften up the old grease and crud and then hit with compressed air. Then I hit with more brake cleaner. Then more compressed air. Then I use WD-40 and compressed air. By now a slight fart will spin the bearing. I'd replace if its ratchety at all. Pack with good synthetic cold temp grease and reinstall.

I've kept all the ones I've replaced. They all seem perfect after cleaning.

So I popped the bearing out. Piece of cake. I could barely turn it with my fingers! No wonder the sled felt so slow, lol! Took it to Motion Industries. They said they can't match it exactly. Said the new sleds have proprietary bearings that they can't get. They could get one very close but it's about an 1/8" wider and might not fit. Of course my local dealer didn't have any in stock cuz they're idiots and never have anything you need, but I found one at a dealer between here and Green Bay. I was on my way to GB tomorrow to do some shopping anyway, so I'll pick it up on the way by.

when you get new one,buy a needle from any auto parts store for your grease gun.....drill hole in bearing cover,now you got a bearing that will last thousands of miles with greasing for about 4 bucks cost of needle.

Question, installing the secondary is there a specific torque to the 14 mm bolt?
Do you use any locktite on any of the bolts? I read to use red locktite on the 20 mm collar bolts.

What grease do you use? I have some Amsoil lithium (purple) wet applications???

that is probably the retail price....if a dealer is charging you retail then you need another dealer..LOL. I paid 30 for both my jackshaft and driveshaft bearings just a few weeks ago.

All the dealers around here charge retail and like I said, I didn't want to wait to have it shipped. When I was negotiating with my local dealer to buy a new '09, they wouldn't even give me 20% off accessories to go with it. In contrast, the dealer I ended up buying the '08 from, gave me accessories at cost! It's too bad he's over 100 miles away
