Hey guys,
I've got the Apex tore apart pretty well (skids out, chaincase removed, and am trying to remove the driveshaft in preparation to install a Predator along with other improvements, and can't figure out how the driveshaft slides out of the chassis. On the PTO side the inside PTO side bearing retainer seems to not want to come out. It appears to have 2 blind rivets that pass through the side of the bulkhead along with the 4 threaded studs. Question is, do I knock off the rivets to remove the inner cup, or do I pull the bearing before passing the driveshaft through the bulkhead. I think I'm making this more difficult than it's spoosed to be. Thanks,,,jay

You have to get the bearing off the slide the shaft to one side tip on a angle and pull it out.Don't remove the plate that is popriveted to the bulkhead.

Thanks for the help

Thanks a lot. I also just read in a search that the bearing on the PTO side (the one I want to remove) is retained by 2 torx set screws. I;ll look for them tomorrow. Happy Easter. Jay
