I removed my suspension to have my Ohlins shock rebuilt and have a question about the routing of the wire. I was able to search the forum and download information as it pertains to the proper wiring technique for routing the wire around the shock and skid but my question centers around the wire as it passes thru the tunnel via the rubber grommet near the chain case. Unfortunately, I did not pay attention to this area when removing the skid so am not sure if it is suppose to be like this or not. In the picture below, you can see the wire as it passes thru the grommet. Since the diameter of the grommet is larger than the diameter of the wire, it appears there is the potential for snow to enter thru the grommet and build up in the side panel. Is it suppose to be like this or is there suppose to be a plug of sorts that fills the area and prevents snow from entering? I checked the micofiche and it only shows the rubber grommet. Now, there is also two rubber boots on the wire leading to the shock solenoid but those are to be used to tie strap the wire around the suspension. At first, I thought I was to use one of them to plug the rubber grommet as it fits in there and would prevent snow from entering into the side panel but that does not appear to be the case. Am I missing something or is this the way it is suppose to be?
