I am looking around for a Nytro lately, and have seen some crazy cheap prices. I know a lot of dealer sold a lot of sled in hopes of the big snow season the weather men lied about. I actually found a new advertised XTX for $8,470 +tax only, and $8,850 + tax for an RTX. Even the average XTX price around here is at $8,700+tax. Amazing what a poor economy and lack of snow will do. Makes me wonder why when I look at the other brands they are not budging on their prices. I looked at a 1200 doo, and a Cat turbo, and they want crazy prices compared to these new lower Yamaha prices. Just thought it was interesting.

I know...its the same around here...you can get a brand new yamaha less than doo or cat...must be yamaha is trying to help out there dealers ;)!

I found that very same thing when I was looking for a new sled a few months ago. I really didn't think that I would buy another Yammy due to their high retail prices, but there are some smoking deals to be found, thanks to Yamaha's rebates.

But is this the result of Yamaha's rehashed lineups year after year and no new products to generate sales?

My local dealer has 5 new yamaha sleds there still sitting on the show room floor since last December.

i wish i would have waited on buying my new sled last november. yes they were forecasting a great winter for snow, and we got nothing. now there are nytros out there for next to nothing.

Ya I noticed this with resale prices. The resale prices would of normally been great at $8,300-7,800 for a one year old sled in normal years. Especially when people bought sleds for $11,500-10,000 but now when dealers are slashing their prices to this it makes it difficult for guys with payments etc to resell their items at the end of a very bad season etc. What it is doing for left over inventory for dealers is rough also. I have one dealer who has brand new 2011 apex models starting at $9,999. That is unheard of, but when I found a dealer who says they have two brand new 2009 Nytro sleds they couldn't go much lower then the 2011 prices because of the amount they had to buy them for themselves.

I just bought a 2011 Apex with 6000miles with a warranty till Oct 2013 For $7,200 from a Canadian Yamaha Dealer!! sled is mINT
