Just got my 07 RTX back from CNY Power Sports. My sled would fry the ignition fuse on occasion. Very tough to diagnose. The guys at CNY hunted this thing down. Turns out there was a wire in the front harness that rubbed thru on the frame and would occasionally ground out. With an intermittent problem like this it took persistence. Thanks To a Customer Oriented Service Department.

Where exactly on the harness did this problem occur? I have had my ignition fuse pop in Qubec never re-occurred again. I assumed one of the wires was getting grounded but never discovered anything after spending hours of tracing and 2 dealers doing the same. A picture would be nice so some of us can prevent this from happening in the future....

wireing
if this is the same place that the rx 1s had the same problem it will be to the left side of the sled looking from the front trace the wireing harnes from the cdi back and you will find a sharp edge on the frame that rubs the wireing harnes . i just cover that section with heater hose and tie wrap the hose in place .

The dealer is going to send me an e-mail with a picture. He sent the information and e-mail direct to Yamaha.
