Just got a good deal on a used excel header but already have an Ultra-Q silencer. Just wanted some input- will I see the same gains listed on the website (I believe with the stock silencer) ? Will I NEED to get a PC-V to make use of it? I currently have the stock airbox as well. Was just hoping to pick up a few extra hp without having to spend another $1k on an intake and a tuner (might end up doing it later, but wanted to try this first). What's everyone think?

you can definately just add the header...with the skinz or the stocker...nothing else needed but clutching changes...when you go by the show remember Al Ulmer will be there..

You should be able to Pickup CR10ek plugs, filters and a PC111 for about 550.00. That combo with the right fuel map makes about 150HP

You might not need a programmer but if you want to optimize your performance you need one. Ulmer racing dynoed this setup and the programmer improved the package

To each his own I guess...I happen to agree...the pc3 provides a better state of tune..need maybe not...eventually want ...yes..

people tell me to get it, my sled works great, and my main man says not to get it, ill listen to him. no offence.

To each his own but the dyno and the O2 sensor don't lie, it needs a programmer to set the proper fuel ratios throughout at all throttle positions.

Cool- that's what I was thinking- eventually I will probably get the PCIII or PC-V and an intake if I can score a good deal on one, but initially I just wanted to make sure I could bolt it all up and run it as is. Was just going to change the exhaust doughnuts but thought it would be more fun to put a new header in too... ;)! I'll be stopping by Allan's booth this weekend to get a new top gear I had him bring to the show, so I'll probably talk to him then about everything.

there ya go...youre on the right track...

my main man told me to run it...my testing revealed...the sled may run without...but runs great with...if there was no gain the dyno wouldnt show it and Al Ulmer wouldnt sell it....I believe there to be a lot of gain up top..
