Does the addition of the excell exhaust on an attak require fuel mapping changes? I have read that some of them are running fat on the low end as result of adding pipe.

Thanks!!

yes, put it on and go. If you have air box mods also you may need the fuel controller. Running fat on the low end is just speculation. I don't think there has been any air/fuel numbers to prove it. If anything the increased flow will lean it out some.

Yes, I believe it will work better with a Fuel Controller.

I have on on my attak, plug and play.... it has been fine, zero adjustments here.... pipe seemed to wake up the attak a bit too.... and it sounds GRRRRRREEEEEEEEEAAAAAATTTTT!!!!!

IMHO I have to disagree. I have had silencers on many different sleds and I thought they sounded pretty good...

But to me, the Excell looks like the sled has a cows butthole and the sound is very annoying. I would be surprised if it meets the new db sound rules here in Michigan. Can't quite figure out why anyone would do away with a way cool looking dual exhaust for a single. Is there a big performance gain (documented) from this exhaust?

dyno runs showing gain in hp all along the curve, and seems to even the power out.... i did feel a difference seat of the pants after installing mine. Havent lined it up against a stocker to see..... they say 5 in the mid to 2 hp up top. i do think it will meet the new sound laws as it doesnt start barking until you get up in the rpms, alot higher than 4 grand where they will be testing.

Ive ridden with someone who has the Excel exhaust and it is not anything like some of the piped two strokes. Im not a fan of piped sleds but the Excel is not offensively loud by me.

I'm suprised you could hear anything considering how far behind you were! :moon:

I know that onlyblue's sled sounds great with the Excell pipe...... I want one, for the sound and the weight loss....... I just don't have the coin to spend on it.
