I have my sled apart per the instructions on how to replace the exhaust donuts . The noise isnt coming from up by the engine (they were already replaced) its coming from under the middle of the seat. Do you have to take the skid out to get at the donuts or gaskets that go in between the y pipes under the seat? Can someone explain that has replaced them ? :o|

If your sled is loud then there is a good chance that one of your Y-pipes is cracked. The skid will have to come out because as you can see, there is not a heck of a lot of room above the track to access the pipe lol

The cross pipe about half way back could be cracked. It's fairly common. You don't have to take the skid out to replace donuts or do any exhaust work, but you'll probably have to unbolt the 2 rear bolts in the suspension, allowing it to drop while raising the sled up by the bumper.

i changed the y pipes and donuts rcently i just dropped the rear susp as marq said, makes it a little easier if u take your transfer rod out when u put the bolts back in the rear

I stand corrected, the skid does not have to come all the way out but I take it out anyway because once you take the back two suspension bolts out you might as well remove the front ones also & get everything out of the way.....just my 2 cents ;)!
