I couldn't get the two bolts out that hold the y pipe to the tunnel so I drilled the heads off. I can't get the y pipes out of the main muffler so need to pull the hole assemble out as one for now but can't get past the remnants of the bolts that I drilled the heads off of. I am thinking about drilling the rivets out that hold that bracket on and am wondering are those just standard rivets or are they steel ones before I drill them out. The reason I am thinking about doing this is I noticed that the bracket is a little loose on the tunnel anyways and would like to tighten that up some.
Thanks for any help.

i believe they're aluminum multigrip rivets. they are available and people that have had similar issues as you have done just what you're contemplating.

Just did this. Used 3/16 x 1/4 steel rivets to reattach.

It's too late for this now, but maybe it'll help someone else. Those two bolts need to be heated cherry red with a torch before attempting to loosen them. If you do this, they will come right out. No stripping out the heads, drilling out, etc. Heat is your best friend on those bolts!

Yea tried the heat but previous owner had the heads pretty well striped for me and I just finished them off. This time I am gunna use s.h.c.s....thanks for the tips on the steel rivets. I figured either use them or small bolts....
