Got a few inches of snow last night so i couldn't resist. Sled feels more responsive with the filters. I posted these pics earlier today but somehow they ended up in the lounge.

I didnt think you needed an engine tensioner as the engine is SOLID MOUNTED to the Delta box!
If it was necissary it woulb be being made by yamaha and sold as aftermarket..
Man i wish i had some snow... YOUR LUCKY!! i dont expect to see any around my house untill Jan.. Or Feb..

DC5, the tensioner is just a standard turnbuckle 10 inches long. Eye end mounts to the engine with a shouldered bolt and collar. Hook mounts to underside of frame on the rear bolt for the bumper/hood support bracket. You have to replace the factory bolt with a 50mm long one and slip another collar over the anchor nut in the frame. Use a 7/16 bolt on the engine and moving the battery tray will help when installing bolt. Both collars are the same.7/16ID; 9/16OD; 1/2inch long.

nice work 001, i did mine very similar, looks good. welter the engine will move if you hook up good with filters or air box mod. first year on mine 4000 miles no problems, last year after mods pulled engine in about 4 mil. you can buy a turnbuckle for about 5 bucks and do it like this or wait till bender makes one for about 100.

hd, I have not locked the secondary yet but probably will. The filter kit came from ECP and does non include a evac system. I built the evac system using parts I purchased at Canadian Tire for under 10 bucks. I also retained the moisture trap/evaporator which should help reduce water accumulation and also stop any water running back into the case after shutdown. Parts iclude 3, 3/4 90 degree poly elbows, 2, 3/4 poly T's and 2 feet of 5/8 heater hose. Cut the barb part off the poly fittings and deburr, everything will fit nice and tight. Use a hole saw to cut the gromet holes in the filters. Go SLOW to get a even cut. I had a slight taper in the hole so I used a small utility knife to even it up. Hole saw size depends on which gromet used. Put the pre filters on, and with a sharp utility knife cut a hole slightly bigger than the gromet hole. Hope this helps.
