Hi guys, I'm new in this forum, I am 25 years old and I'm form Quebec in Canada. I don't have some picks of my sled currently but I have a nytro XTX 2009!
One of my friends have a rx1 2005 and he want to fit an apex rtx 2008 suspension in his rx1. So where exactly he can drill the holes on his tunel on rx1 to fit this?
Sorry about my minimal english but I do my best!

Nobodys knows or can measure on his apex RTX 2008-2009?

Probably not a swap that has been done a lot, but don't let that stop you. They're both 15" 121's, so its just going to take some playing around to figure out.

You might wanna post in the Apex section. 07 and up rtx's have the same suspension. You'll need measurements from driveshaft to center of front holes then from center to center from front to rear hole. And then from top of tunnel down to the holes.

Ok I'll ask this question in the apex section, thank you!

Others may chime in here but If you take the measurements that copo427ss mentioned from the sled that the suspension came out of and transfer them to the rx1, I can't see why it wouldn't work. Check the link below, it might help

Your two most important measurements are from the driveshaft to the front mount hole and the center to center of the front to back mounts. The up and down can be moved without geometry problems. My question is why go to that skid? They had horrible geometry and would cause track bind. I would go with a different manufacture skid ( sc10-3, Edge or pro x, or zr chassis cat or firecat skid. Member 'ahicks ' did a pro x skid in his 07 rtx. He hated the stock skid. If you pm him he might give you stock skid dimensions or if you go with a Polaris skid he can give you measurements to that. I can help you with zr cat skid dimensions. And there's a post on skidoo skid on here. Unless he has the pro crap skid already I wouldn't use it

It's a yamaha dealer who given and sell this idea and he was tanned to welding his monoshock... So you think tha he can lost the top speed?

So a yam dealer is trying to talk your friend into that skid from his mono? What is wrong with his mono? If I remember correctly, isn't the 05 mono the same as 06 and up?
What are his intensions? To make a big bump rx1? Does he want top speed for lake racing? And yes I'm trying to talk you out of the 08 skid.

Suspension swap
Didn't the RTX have the Pro-active in it? If so that would be the same as the 05 Vector and the RS Nytro. You can have your hands full trying to get it to work right.

Agreed. If he is having issues with the Monoshock, I would just update to an 06+ mono. They can easily be found from parted out sleds, guys making mountain sleds.
If you want a big bump sled and you're going to go through the work of relocating the skid, I would look for a different skid.
If you want to use the RTX skid, you'll have to measure one.

Its all fairly simple, measuring, drilling and you may need to make or have made some additional mount supports for the tunnel.
I hated the 07 RTX skid, consulting with Ahicks I easily swapped in a Polaris IQ Dragon skid.
