FINALLY GOT TO PUT SOME MILES ON MY RAGE . I NOTICED RIGHT AWAY IT FELT REAL TIPPY. MY VIPER HAD SOME SKI LIFT BUT THIS THING FELT LIKE I COULD BARRELL ROLL IT IF I WANTED TO. WE DID ABOUT 150 mi ON TUES ,PERF CONDITIONS ,I HAD THE FOR SALE SIGN OUT AND READY TO GO ON .

DID SOME THINKIN ON TUES NIGHT ABOUT LIMITER STRAPS ,NOT READY TO MAKE ANY ADJUSTMENTS JUST YET THOUGH. TOOK A GOOD LOOK AT THE SLED AND NOTICED HOW MUCH SEAT MY TANK BAG TOOK UP. I PUT ONE OF THE SEMI RIGID YAM TANK BAGS ON . TOOK IT OFF AND WE DID ALMOST 200 ON WED . ONE OF THE BEST IF NOT THE BEST HANDLING SLEDS I HAVE EVER RIDDEN. BEING ABLE TO SIT FARTHER FORWARD AND BEING ABLE TO THROW MY LEG OVER THE TANK MADE ALL THE DIFFRENCE.

LOVE THE ENGINE BRAKING,POWER IS GREAT, IT FEELS ELECTRIC LIKE OTHERS HAVE STATED,18TO20 MPG.

WOW! ITS A KEEPER

Glad to hear you like your Rage as well as I like mine. ;)!

As for the laughing thing, the people on this forum tend to laugh with you not at you.

At least that's what they all tell me when it appears they're laughing at me. :P

You said the power was great, what sled would you compare the power of the engine too? I currently ride a f7 but had a sx600 before that.

This sled has changed how I ride...amazing! I have had to tweak a few things and I look forward to the clutch rattle fix... but man what a blast. The power band is awesome it always seems to have more to give. It's more like my bike than a snowmobile :4STroke: . I've gotten everything pretty much dialed in to my liking and I can now hit the corners harder than ever before and mogul’s are no problem, straight-aways and lakes are a dream. I have a little over 400 miles on my Rage now and it just seems to be getting stronger :yam:

RE. POWER

TOYSRUS IS RIGHT. YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR RIDING STYLE A BIT . GOIN INTO A CORNER IS A BLAST. GO IN PRETTY HARD STAY IN THE GAS A LITTLE LONGER THAN NORMAL GET FORWARD ON THE SEAT LEAN IN AND LET OFF THE GAS AND THE BACK END STARTS TO COME AROUND THEN ROLL BACK ON THE GAS AND YE HA WHERES THE NEXT TURN.

AS FAR AS POWER GOES I CAME OFF AN 03 VIPER MY RAGE FEELS BETTER DOWN LOW SEEMS TO FLATTEN OUT JUST A LITTLE IN THE MID RANGE AND I CAN'T COMMENT ON WOT ,DIDN'T GET THERE TO MUCH OR FOR TO LONG.

I NEVER RODE AN F7 SO I CANT COMMENT ON POWER BETWEEN THE TWO BUT MY BUDDIE HAS A TWISTED SRX 700 AND HE WALKED PAST ME ON ONE OF MY SHORT SPEED RUNS LIKE I WAS GOIN BACKWARDS. HE LATER TOLD ME HE WASN'T IN IT ALL THE WAY EITHER.

ONE OTHER THING ON THE RAGE'S HANDLING I WAS ABLE TO RIDE HARDER ON BUMPY TRAILS AND STILL FELT IN CONTROL,MORE SO THAN MY VIPER.

SO FAR I LOVE THIS SLED.

You wouldnt have to sit on the tank if you would just ajust for less weight transfer...

I would compare the rages engine to a viper with more lowend grunt!

I had a 00' SX700R. My Rage just seems to have similar power to it. The power is different though. Where the 2 stroke seems to get it's power by being "hyper" the 4 stroke just seems to have "brute strength". What a sweet sound. As far as the weight transfer issue; I have done a fair amount of riding (200 miles) with my four year old son in front of me and like the tank bag I am forced to sit farther back. I would not like to try my sled aggresively like that. TOOO tippy. When I'm alone and can throw my weight around, the thing becomes a whole different animal. I'm pretty much in love with it.
