So, I bent my bars last spring and needed to replace them. Devided to go a little wider and a little higher....... sounded like a great idea as I'm 6'2".

Well, stock bars are 30", Fly Carbon Hooked bars are also about 30" so I went with the Fly Race straight bars at 32". I planned to add the 45 degree hooks to complete the package.

Stock Riser is 2.5" and with the slight rise of the stock bar, I figured it was about 4" so I went with a Fly 6' Riser to complete my set-up.

The fun begins when I add the hooks to the straight bars, in total they are now 38" wide..... Oh My Broomstick! Too much so I cut em down 2" and although my mind is telling me "Cut em more" I go with it and add SPI heater elements, ODI grips and set it up for the first ride.

No Good...... Standing it's great, seated it's ok but hand are above elbows, hanging off in the corners is a reach.... a really long reach.

Result? I ordered a 4" Fly Riser today and cut another 3" off the bars. Now I'm at 33" wide whcih feels great and look forward to getting the bars out of the rafters with the 4" riser.... or do I now call it a lowerer?

BTW: I was able to do all of this with only re-routing the stock cables......
