2008 fx nytro (gytr coil overs) how many inches of sag should I have? Right now I have 1.75". Set the skid per recommendations on here, just looking to dial in front end. Running pilot skis, if that affects things.

as far as sag do you mean "set in". from when the skies touch the ground until the point the body stops dropping?

Basically ya, I did it opposite to what you said, but same result.

I know it's important with moto x bikes and was a means to set shocks on my 07 mxz

I found that the stock GYTR's and springes are way to soft for any kind of riding. Before I replaced mine and went with
Fox Evols I had the spring preload at almost full stiff, it handled-ed the best this way but still way to soft.

Mine are turned down pretty far on threaded collars, but I also put limiter strap up one hole and centre track shock set to soft. (Trying to get better stutter bump compliance) I know these skid changes are going to put more weight on the front skis, coupled with new woody's carbides just trying to see where to go with front shock settings.

which nytro are you running? shorty or the xtx? there's lots of posts to read on this but, most of it is personal preference and getting the front and rear balanced to work together and will vary depending if you ride standing up or sitting. the OFT steering relocate will affect you set up also as it puts you farther forward on the seat.

good info to provide is

-what year as sway bars differ model and year
-shorty or xtx
-which front shocks you have
-type of riding (trail, ditch banging, off trail)
-type of riding style (stand or sit)
-how fast you ride

this will let others better try and help you out with setup

cheers

2008 fx nytro 121. Gytr shocks.
Ride sitting unless trails get beat bad enough to force me to stand.
No oft relocator yet
Semi aggressive trail riding, nothing crazy

I have read lots about suspension settings, but not much on spring preload on the front gytr shocks.
Rear suspension has limiter straps pulled up one hole, centre chock preload set very low, clicker set 3/4 to soft on comp.

I know sucking the limiter strap up and setting centre shock preload soft will in turn put more weight on my front end, this is why I am trying to figure out what to set my front shock preload to before my first trip. Just a baseline
