well I brought it in the garage after a ride. and im trying to get my 03 rx-1 to run consistent. just wount get to 10,000 rpm. it wount run a 03 vipper on top end and Im getting 12 or less mpg. More like 10. after trail riding. I cleaned the carbs a week ago. so I know that is not the problem. but Im starting to check the springs and all the stuff(rubber diaphram, vacuum, ect.) so I pulled off the air box cover. and I found something wierd. starting from cyl.1 to cyl.4 it has a lot of gas spryed on the air box floor.

cyl 1 - alot of splarter
cyl 2 - a little less
cyl 3 - a little less than cyl 2
cyl 4 - next to none

any idea why? Is there some thing Im missing? Any ideas? I just want to figure this out. last time I rode lastyear. was running great. 15 mpg. no one could catch me. now Im back to having problems. thanks for the help.

the only thing that comes to mind is ive noticed fuel in the airbox when running in deep powder, when the foam gets pluged up. i either just shake the snow out or even run without it. you should also clean the foam with castrol superclean or something comparable and hot water as they plug up with belt dust, etc. even though it looks clean. this can lower top rpm and will also hurt mileage.
